Education and Ethics

Universities, corporations and other institutions: Welcome to the Learning Green site.

The Institute for Green Science at Carnegie Mellon University, with the support of the Heinz Endowments and The Johnson Family Foundation, is committed to providing online courseware and learning resources to colleges, universities and other learning institutions and organizations throughout the world free of charge. From this page you can explore courses of study in sustainable science, gain an overview of the curriculum, contact our team and learn how your institution can incorporate the course materials, curriculum and online courses into your science programs. This site will walk you through the process. We are also available to speak with you directly if you prefer.

Overview

Explore a rundown of courses and see how your institution might incorporate them into the science curriculum at your school or organization. Faculty members or departments can copy materials from the site and use them to augment whatever courses they feel can benefit from the material. Students can take classes online in conjunction with an institute's classes or download lectures, transcripts and presentations to use as an instructor sees fit. Your school decides whether students earn credits for the courses. View the directory of online lessons and modules that we have built so far.
